Book Talk: A Whirlwind Etherealness by Typhoon

Can love be earned, toiled for, or won? People say that love just happens. While some, insist that it is something that one has to find.

A Whirlwind Etherealness is a story of love. More importantly, it is a story of a woman in love and her journey to understand this powerful force. Niobe Newton is this woman and the journey through love and everything that comes with it —happiness, trials, and heartbreak — began when she met Chase Tomson. She felt an instant connection, and because it is undeniable, she was prepared to do anything to prove her love for him.

She longed for love that is true. She wanted the kind of love that she only saw in movies or read in books. She wanted an adventure and a fairy tale. But, as her fate would have it, her love story crumbled. It crumbled like the world beneath her at the worst time in her life.
Her love story became a tale that taught her many valuable lessons in life. She came to know love, but she came to know betrayal at the same time.

Her love story became a journey of her loving herself. It became a journey of getting to know oneself after loss, betrayal, failure. After love.

A Whirlwind Etherealness is a very emotional read because it forces you to also look within yourself. What parts of yourself are you hurting for love? And, is it worth it? In the process of being lost in love, did you lose yourself?

The book touches on many difficult subjects on love. It manages to tell a love story beyond the "boy meets girl" formula. It leads to be introspective even through a fast-paced plot line.

Through the journey of love, time, and space, Niobe has been transformed. Will Chase recognize her for the woman that she is? Will their love get a second chance? Or will an outside force stop them before their story is complete?

Some say love is the most powerful thing in the world. So with other powerful things, it often meets its adversaries. Anyone who has been in love will tell you, love has its challenges. Whether it is one's place in life, one's beliefs, even time itself can make love more tumultuous than it already is.

Reviews and What Readers Say

" The first thing I noticed about this book is that it is really beautiful. I know this is totally a “judge its book by its cover” kind of thing, but seriously, I love it. I liked this book a lot, actually. The author's writing is always well-crafted, painless, and richly detailed without being boring or overambitious. The story is about Niobe Newton is a star-crossed lover to Chase Tomson. They go on an expedition through time and space together to fulfill their story that was never concluded since they were younger. But destiny finally intervines and they came together at last. But now they have to find a way to make it work, considering the fact that they are from different sides of the track. A great love story, intertwined with heavy internal conflict, this book is a quiet an emotional read. At times you see little bits of reality, that bring the story home. This novel was not a difficult tale to read. It gave me the warm fuzzy, but with an undertone of sorrow. It takes on some serious subjects, and at times I found myself a little weepy.Something I loved about this book was the idea that this book had a will of its own and found who it wanted to be with. As someone who absolutely loves books, and understands the noteworthiness of them personally, I love the idea that books have a personality of their own, that they have a will and a purpose. That they understand their importance as well. Seriously. This is awesome. Overall, I highly recommend this book."
