What sets science and faith apart is evidence. Science requires proof; faith does not. Yet people the world over profess faith and seek confirmation of God’s existence at the same time: “Is there life after death?” “Is heaven real?” “Does man have a soul?” “Why does God allow horrendous events to happen?” “Where is God now?” “Does God exist?” These are only a few of the questions that have plagued man since the beginning of time.

If these questions will lead man to a better grasp of God and his all-powerful hand, if all these questions will allow man’s faith to become a mustard seed and move mountains in the end, then man is lucky because there is one book brimming with all the answers he is looking for—the Bible.

The Bible is the most read book of all times. It is also the most controversial, the most widely argued book. Indeed, it is not a walk in the park, but a maze containing the secrets of the universe. Discovering these secrets is a journey in itself, and the final destination is coming to an understanding of God and His purpose. Anyone who does not know where to go—and how many of us don’t—will surely not find the affirmation of their faith but find questions and doubt instead.

B. Butler, author of Who and What Is God: An Exciting Journey of Discovery expertly guides readers through this maze, confronting man’s questions and doubts and helping him discover the answers in the Bible. His is a free-for-all approach to faith and spirituality, drawing truth and inspiration from the Bible itself and other reliable sources. Who and What Is God is not based on any religious ideas or concepts of human organizations; hence, it is not just a book for Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, or Pagans. It does not discriminate or isolate. It is for everyone who desires to know more about God and his mysterious ways.

Before reading Who and What Is God, pray for an open mind and prepare yourself for an exciting journey. This book worthy of a Pulitzer Prize will show you how to uncover the answers found in the Bible. Perhaps these answers will define your faith. Or maybe you will realize faith does not need a definition or an explanation. Perhaps the journey will suffice, and the promised destination will prove to be a bonus. However, it will turn out for you, prepare to be affected, to be enlightened, to be changed. Who and What Is God is a book that delivers the message.

Reviews and What Readers Say

"The author begins his book with an excellent chart contrasting religion and theology. In its pages, chapters, and postscript one can see the author not only achieved his purpose, but also was crystal clear, colourful, and extremely factual. This book stirred and inspired this reviewer to realize he needs to take action and not take his relationship with God, family, and friends for granted. This book left this reviewer with the feeling as though he had been rocketed into a ‘fourth dimension’.

In his preface, we get a brief but deep insight of this author. This reviewer has read and reviewed one other book by the author entitled ‘The Biggest Lie and The Greatest Truth’, and also has communicated with him personally during countless hours by phone and many emails. This book has helped me better understand and appreciate more of his earlier works. I plan to review them as well. The reviewer has high hopes of meeting the author one day to thank him in person for contributing to his growth as a man, as well as how to grow in grace and knowledge.

This reviewer feels this book should be in every family home, available to congregations, and in public and private libraries. It is an excellent primer for the homeschooler."

"This book was a wonderful book, and humble. Brain did a great job with the simplicity of God's Word. I really like the part about creation, and How Brain got right down to the power and energy of God's Spirit. How the Power of God are still a mystery, and always will be. Energy, Life- Force, Gravity, Centrifugal Force, Magnetism, Electricity, the Electromagnetic Spectrum including Sound, light and Radiation, Capillary Attraction. How they are some of the Invisible Omnipotent Powers of God's Spirit, they will never be completely understood. Brain goes through the creation days, marvelous what God has done for His Son and us, isn't God good! The Mystery source of ALL life, the complexity of the solar system, what a GREAT DESIGNER, Almighty God! The respect I got from this book for God's creative acts, praise the LORD. It is a eye opener to read this book. The Development of True Spirituality. 'Attitude is everything. Willingness to change and continual repentance are the only safe way forward for those who are now in Christ.' God bless you All, get this book! "

" I really enjoyed this book. The proofs the author provided to display the existence of God’s hand in creation were undeniable. I particularly liked his argument against evolution which was the most convincing one I’ve read. This is a short book, but the information is very, very thorough. Although some conclusions could have been explained better with more scriptural evidence, this is a solid work that provides a lot of intriguing ideas that could help people wishing to further their faith and spiritual education, find a starting point for greater exploration. As a child, my parents used to take me to church. When I was about twelve, I was asked to give the Bible reading, which happened to be 1 Corinthians 13, known as the ‘Love’ chapter. I memorized it, and somehow, its content and the occasion remained with me. Once I left home at eighteen to do National Service in the R.A.F., I did not attend any church at all. I really was not interested at all in any religion.

At twenty-nine, in 1964, I attended college, majored in Theology, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. My work with a church ended in 1976 due to doctrinal differences.

For the next twenty-five years, I pioneered systematic kinesiology, a form of natural health care, ran a clinic, and taught thousands about preventive health.

In 2000 at sixty-five, I retired. Still not at all interested in any human religion, I once again turned to the study of Theology. The word comes from two Greek words, Theo meaning God, and Logos meaning Word, hence Theology is the study of God’s Word, the Holy Bible.

In 2013 I began an intense and in-depth study of the works of Dr. Ernest L. Martin, who I had known in college. I learned more in a few years than I had in over sixty years of my own personal previous study of the Holy Bible. I wanted to share my new knowledge, understanding, and approach with others and wrote my first three books.

Now, in 2019, coming up to eighty-four years old, I have just published ‘WHO, and WHAT IS GOD? An exciting journey of discovery’. The realization of the Awesome Nature of God has changed my whole view of this human life.
