Katherine Dasta’s Living from Your Heart: The Inner Essence Journey is a life-changing self-help book that brings the focus to an often-forgotten aspect of our being—our essence.

The book explores human behaviors that must be stopped pronto. These Stop behaviors—wanting, holding, assuming, monitoring—immensely influence our day-to-day activities and the physical condition of our bodies. These limiting behaviors do not reflect our core, our heart, our essence. Instead, they reflect ugly, unfounded fears.

An unfortunate event a long time ago or anything that we see, hear, or experience in our immediate environment may trigger these limiting beliefs and stop us from listening to our core and reaching our maximum potential. Losing a job or failing in a business venture, fearing for the safety of our loved ones, assuming to be unattractive and undesirable are just a few Stop behaviors that must be addressed promptly before they cripple our essence. Dasta talks about these Stop behaviors and how they often lead to physical discomfort or pain, like clenching of teeth, tightening of stomach muscles, headache, and fatigue—to name a few.

Living from Your Heart: The Inner Essence Journey is not for rush-reading. In fact, the author invite readers to bide their time, to mark pages with personal notes, and coming back when the need arises. Katherine Dasta also encourages readers to utilize the exercises at the end of each chapter, emphasizing the need to acknowledge Stop behaviors. Awareness is key to correction, after all.

Part 2 of the book focuses on five essential laws of life, while part 3 talks about listening to the body and balancing energy centers. The laws of intention, possibility, choice, giving, and trust give our essence hope. The universe offers itself to us daily, and the laws of life guide us toward what is ours for the taking. Finally, part 3 of the book deals with our chakras—the energy centers of our body. Dasta understands that clearing our energy fields and balancing our energies are not top priorities in our chaotic schedules, so she uses simple yet effective steps to help readers in this process.

Living from Your Heart: The Inner Essence Journey is quite a treat. Katherine Dasta’s approach is holistic, her topics and her writing do not overwhelm at all. The book is an easy-to-read guide that packs quite the punch.

Reviews and What Readers Say

" This book is so enlightening! Easy to follow and understand. I have read it once completely, now I'm ready to read again and complete the activities. The book really makes you take a look at your life and your body in a way I have never thought of before. This will require some deep soul searching on my part and I'm ready. I'm sure part of this may be hard for me, but I know as I work through the activities and learn I'll have a better understanding of my inner essence. I am so happy Katherine has shared this with everyone."

" Great book for anyone looking to live the best life they can! The book comes with great direction that is easy to understand but could be hard for one to put into action without. It is very much as though Katherine is there with you on the journey like a close friend."
